You’ll have to excuse me, I’m a little breathless, just got back from a Queen Concert featuring Adam Lambert (American Idol contestant) who sings the Freddie Mercury songs. Awesome hardly describes how fabulous the 2 hour performance was!
Anywhooo, Becca just released their Becca Lush Lip Color Balm ($22) in 8 delicious shades. This is a hybrid that is part lipstick and part lip balm. It really is everything you love in a lip balm combined with all you love about your lipstick. I know we could all use one of these (at least). The pigments are buildable and allow your natural lip color to shine through, which will create your own custom-perfect for you, shade. It is designed to nourish and hydrate your lips and keep them “kissable” all day.
The formula is infused with jojoba oil to hydrate the lips. It is lightweight, creamy and leaves a soft satin finish on your lips. One swipe gives you a soft, rosy glow. With more swipes, the color will become deeper.
Becca designed the packaging in a crystal-clear bullet, which Becca Cosmetics refers to as “vanity candy.”
The shades are :
Cafe Au Lait – Peachy Beige
Ginger Vanilla – Pink Coral
Milk Chocolate – Mauvy Brown
Black Violet – Deep Plum
I purchased the other four shades:
Almond Fraise – Dusty Rose
Chai Cream – Tawny Brown
Toasted Hazelnut – Rich Brown
Cherry Ganache – deep Burgundy

- I love that it is a hybrid. It is the best of both worlds, the lush weightlessness of a hydrating lip balm, and the creamy, pigmented satin finish of a lipstick.
It works for me! It glides on smoothly and lasts a long time. I’m lovin’ it, and the beautiful shades it comes in. What do you like about a hybrid lipstick/lipbalm? Do you like that it keeps your lips hydrated and nourished while still giving them the pigmented color of a lipstick? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
You Are Awesome!
