I was psyched when I discovered that Dior had a lip product called Lip Tattoo. I assumed that this would be the ultimate color product for my lips, with great pigments and amazing staying power. Dior Addict Lip Tattoo ($30) is marketed as being a 10 hour, natural-looking color lip tint that stains your lips with natural-looking color with a weightless feeling that you are not wearing anything at all, just your bare lips.
The packaging is simple, and chic.

The lipstain is housed in an opaque matte tube that has the iconic Dior knob- cap.

The Dior Logo is on the side of the tube.

The formula’s tinted ink fuses with the lips transparently and lightly. It is a water-based emulsion that combines the perfect balance of stains, pigments and emollients.

There are four shades, although, Nordstroms has an exclusive shade called Natural Coral. The Four shades are:
491 – Natural Rosewood
761 – Natural Cherry
771 – Natural Berry
881 – Natural Pink

The two shades I purchased are 491 – Natural Rosewood, and 761 – Natural Cherry.

491-Natural Rosewood is a gorgeous neutral shade

To apply, place the applicator in the center of the mouth under the Cupid’s bow, and sweep left, then right.
After a few seconds, the color fuses with your skin like a temporary tattoo for your lip.
You can use the Lip Tattoo alone for natural looking color and a bare-lip vibe, or you can use it as a primer with any with any Lipstick or Lip Gloss to boost both the color and the wear-time.

The Lip Tattoo glides on my lips. It feels like velvet water after it is applied. When it dries down, it feels as if nothing is on my lips. The stain lasts a few hours, but the color softens and doesn’t look like the shade that I applied a few hours earlier. Upon application, the color has a glossy appearance, A few hours later, that glossy look had disappeared, although I did have a light tint of the color on my lips. The two shades I purchased were pigmented and vibrant. I only needed a thin coat to have an even, intense pigmented application. It did transfer a bit, but I loved that after a couple of hours, the formula still felt hydrating. Eventually, the color does fade. I would definitely use the lip tattoo as a lip primer. I also think this is a good product to use in the summer because of it’s thin consistency and rich pigments.
Do you think the Dior Addict Lip Tattoo Lip Stain is worth the price ? Have you tried it? Would you like a temporary product that will “tattoo” your lips for 10 hours? (Even though this one didn’t) Let me know in the comments below.
You Are Awesome!
