I know we all have a lot of highlighters, and you are probably thinking the same thing I was thinking before I purchased “another” one. But, believe it or not, this one is different from most of the highlighters I have (and trust me, I have a lot of them and I am sure you do too!) When I saw it, I just said to myself, “gotta have it!”
Highlighter/Illuminateur Limited Edition Nars Banc De Sable($49) is exclusive to Sephora. Banc De Sable means Sandbank in French, which seems appropriate for this palette, because the three highlighters are warm-toned., like when you walk in the ocean, and it starts to become deep, and you must swim through it because you are trying to reach the sandbank just a few swims away from you. The palette reminds me of that sandbank, because the sand on the bank just glistens and glimmers, with such subtlety underneath the rays of the sun on a beautiful summer day at the beach.

The packaging is stunning. The palette itself is small enough to fit in your hand, which is great for taking it with you while your driving to the beach for the weekend. The box it comes in, and the cover of the palette is a shiny coppery-bronze with Nars written in pink (so loved that too!). It just talked summer to me.

The back of the palette is a matte black something something that has the name of the palette and the name of the three different highlighters.

I love that, when opened, NARS is embossed across the three highlighters. There is a full-sized mirror underneath the cover. And even in the palette, the highlighters seemed to glisten and glimmer in their pans.
The shades are :

Rivage – Rivage translated from French to English means Shore, and the shade is a Glistening Pearl like the shore on the coast of the ocean.

Sale – Sale translated from French to English means Salt Water, and the shade is a Shimmering Peach Champagne.

Embruns -translated from French to English means Sea Spray, and the shade is a Metallic Rose Gold.

The part I love best about Banc De Sable is it has two different finishes. When you apply it dry, it appears as a shimmering veil on your skin. When applied wet, the finish is a high shine. One swipe with a brush will give you the most natural glow. If you want more intensity, you can continue to build it until you achieve the intensity you want.

Nars is a high end brand at Sephora, so even though the size of the palette seems smaller than others, the quality is Nars, so it is gonna be luxurious.

The powders are not dry or dusty looking on the skin, I love that the powders catch the light, and shimmer. When I used my finger to swipe, the highlighters were high intensity. Using a brush, the highlighters were more subtle. The formula is richly pigmented. The texture feels creamy and smooth, and it applies smoothly on the skin. I also love that it was very lasting. And, it would be great on all skin types. You can mix and blend the highlighters to tone down the shades if you are very fair, or amp them up with a damp brush if you want a wow ! Whatever way you wear it, I can honestly say you won’t regret getting “another” highlighter palette because it isn’t like any you have!
